Client: Google Creative Lab
Production Company: Park Pictures
Director: Daniel Mercadante
Google Creative Lab approached Lost Loved to source the photography at the heart of Gemini's national Super Bowl spot. The film follows a mother and son imagining life in a new home, using Gemini to transform empty rooms into somewhere that already feels lived in. For that to work, the starting point had to feel completely genuine.
Stock photography fell short, so Lost Loved tracked down Midwest realtor photographers and cleared their photographs of real homes for use throughout the campaign. We also negotiated a bespoke licensing agreement allowing the images to be used for Gemini AI manipulation without machine learning rights attached, protecting the photographers while giving the creative team exactly what the brief required.
The realtor photography appears throughout the film as the images the family transforms using Gemini. Starting with real homes gave the product demonstration its credibility, while the bespoke licensing agreement allowed the creative to move forward without compromising the photographers' rights.
